Macmillan Cancer Support named official Partner Charity

Today we are very pleased to announce that Macmillan Cancer Support are our official partner charity for the 2016 Great Tyne Row.

We have set up a fund raising page for the event so if you haven't already started fund raising for a charity please help us raise funds for Macmillan.

Macmillan holds a special place in the hearts for many people. Particularly to those members at Tynemouth Rowing Club, one of the host clubs of the Great Tyne Row. Who have recently lost one of their oldest and most supportive members, Chris Dixon.

A long time member of the club who always turned up with a smile and helped so many new people to row. He will be greatly missed at the Great Tyne Row.
